Since 1994
CDS Electric & Industrial Services has been doing electrical work in eastern North Carolina since 1994. Owner Gerald Benton started the company part time that year and went full time in 1995, building it in Trenton, in Jones County, and it has grown to cover the kind of work most electricians don't: industrial electrical, equipment moving and rigging, and Generac generator sales and service, alongside residential electrical work for homeowners.
What makes CDS different
Most companies do one thing. CDS can wire a new machine, move a 50,000-pound piece of equipment into place, and connect it, without you having to coordinate three different contractors. For plants and shops, that means shorter shutdowns and one company responsible for the whole job. That's why manufacturers including P&G, Stanadyne, Judco Manufacturing, MJM Yachts and Bijur Delimon International have called CDS. For homeowners, it means a licensed contractor who brings industrial-grade standards to residential work.
Licensed, permitted and insured
CDS Electric & Industrial Services is a licensed North Carolina electrical contractor, NC Electrical Contractor License L.19005, with Gerald Benton as the licensed qualifier. You can confirm it on the NC State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors license search. We pull the permits each job requires, carry insurance on our work, and build to code, so the job passes inspection and stands up over time.
